Heavy fighting is taking place in Avdeevka (Avdeevka or Avdiivka) as Russian forces re-tighten the cordon around the town after a failed large-scale Ukrainian counter-offensive.

The Russians have raised their flag on the artificial hill of Terrickon, breached the Ukrainian defense lines, and now the fighting is taking place inside the coke factory of Avdifka.
